Coppermine Fieldhouse Dance Policies and Program Details

Dance Program Policies
All Classes Are for Independent Dancers. We ask parents to remain in the hallways/waiting areas during classes to create a learning-focused environment. We have observation days scheduled for each session.
All dancers must be the required as of the class at the start of the session they are registered for.
Dancers in 45-minute (or longer) classes should be potty trained.
Classes available for Ages: 2.5+
Class Running Times: 30 min to 1.5 hours
Custom Classes available for 5+ kids
Private Lessons available for 1-6 weeks in length @ $65 a lesson

Dress Code
Hair for all dancers should be secured off face and neck in a pony tail or bun. Short hair can be secured back with a headband or barrettes.
Please leave all play jewelry at home, as well as costumes and dress-up play attire. We have a designated day for dress-ups!

Creative Movement
Ladies: Black leotard, pink tights, pink Ballet shoes
Gentlemen: White t-shirt, black shorts or form fitting pants (like joggers or leggings), black Ballet shoes

First Dance (Ballet & Tap)
Ladies: Black leotard, pink tights, pink Ballet shoes, black Tap shoes
Gentlemen: White t-shirt, black shorts or form fitting pants (like joggers or leggings), black Ballet shoes, black Tap shoes

Gymnastics & Dance
Ladies: Black leotard, pink footless or convertible tights, pink Ballet shoes
Gentlemen: White t-shirt, black shorts or form fitting pants (like joggers or leggings), black Ballet shoes
*Optional – white gym shoes for Gymnastic portion of class (can be purchased at the front desk).

Hip Hop
Comfortable clothing, no jeans or jean shorts of any kind, ALL black sneakers or black dance sneakers

Ballet Combo Classes (With Jazz, Tap, or Modern Dance)
Ladies: Black leotard, pink footless or convertible tights, pink Ballet shoes
Tan Jazz shoes for Jazz Combo
Black tap shoes for Tap Combo
Gentlemen: White t-shirt, black shorts or form fitting pants (like joggers or leggings), black Ballet shoes

Jazz

Optional: Dancers may wear skirts or tutus to class as long as they do not impede movement or are below the knee in length.

Spring Dance is an 18 Week Program (Includes Optional Recital Participation)

Session Runs January 2 – May 12, 2019
Family Observation Week: Monday, April 1 through Sunday, 7, 2019
No Classes: Friday, April 19 through Sunday, April 21, 2019
Optional Recital Dates:
Last Day to Register if participating in the Recital: Friday February 1, 2019
$55.00 Costume Fee Due – Friday, February 1, 2019
Dress Rehearsal & Picture Day – Thursday, May 9, 2019
Recital – Sunday, May 12, 2019

Annual Spring Dance Recital Information
Participating in our annual spring recital is OPTIONAL to all students registered by February 1, 2019. This is our opportunity to showcase all of the hard work your dancers have put into their classes!
The recital show theme will be announced in January, and recital choreography will begin in classes.

Required Costs:
All dancers participating in the spring recital are required to purchase a recital costume for $55.00. This will include the performance costume, including tights if needed. This does not include footwear.
All audience members ages 9+ will need to purchase tickets for $8.00.

Optional Costs:
$15.00 Recital T-Shirt (front of the shirt is the recital theme image, back is a listing of all participating dancers)
Pre-Ordered Flower Bouquets for Dancers
Professional Class/Individual Pictures in Recital Costumes
Order forms for these items will be provided either in the recital packet handed out in March, OR from the photographer

Important Recital Dates & Info:
February 1, 2019 – Last day to register for classes and pay costume fee if participating in the recital
March 4, 2019 – Recital Packet Distributed with detailed information
Thursday, May 9, 2019 – Dress Rehearsal & Professional Picture Day @ Mercy High School
All classes will be assigned a time to arrive, practice on stage, and take pictures. Schedule will be announced in the Recital Packet.
Sunday, May 12, 2019 – Recital @ Mercy High School
All classes will be assigned to perform in either Show A (1:30pm) or Show B (3:30pm). Show assignments will be announced in the Recital Packet. Siblings will be placed in the same show.
